Worn and damaged shaft and shaft sleeves
Problem:
Pits and worn seal grooves in shaft.
The Arnolds Solution:
Using ARC 10 all purpose, high performance, machinable composite to repair these section.
Method:
The impeller was re-blasted to SA 2.5 and measured profile was 106 microns. The item was then solvent washed with Chesterton 204, a non flammable solvent which leaves no residue.
Benefit:
The cost of repair was 50% of a new item.
