Wear damage to piston pump from Cement Works
Problem:
The pump had been in service for 7 years and the casting was now worn through in several places. As the Works only had a limited life, a replacement was not cost effective and anticipated delivery period was long.
The Arnolds Solution:
Using valve seats as moulds and dimensions from another pump, the body was rebuilt using ARC MX1, ARC 858 & ARC 855. Patches were welded over the holes to provide a structure to which the ARC products could be applied.
Benefit:
The pump body was repaired for 50% of the cost a new body and returned within 2 weeks. Savings of over £3000 were achieved.
