Problem:

The vanes on the impeller had been worn away to virtually nothing.  Flow and efficiency in the pump was well below system requirement.  

The Arnolds Solution:

Old vanes where removed and ground to accept newly manufactured vanes.  The  impeller was heated then welded and cooled down slowly to reduce the risk of stress fractures.  The impeller was checked for stress fractures after welding.  To get desired profile and tolerance the vanes where then machined to manufacturer’s specification.
Finally the impeller was balanced to ISO G2.5.
